Ethiopian authorities are asking international NGOs (non-government organizations) like ADAMS THERMAL FOUNDATION to help with the humanitarian crisis in their northern territories.
The civil war in northern Ethiopia has left millions of displaced people hidden behind a media-driven veil of words and images. Manufactured narratives and strategic media alliances have multiplied the devastation caused by the conflict and the secret suffering of innocent citizens has caused Ethiopian government authorities to summon help wherever it can be found in the absence of an international community that would typically respond to a human crises of this magnitude.

We celebrated our graduates from Adams Thermal Academy Hosanna (ATAH) twice this past year. In April there were 38 graduates from the class of 2020 who were delayed in taking their national exams due to the pandemic. In October, we celebrated 40 graduates who were also delayed due to the late start in the 2020/21 school year. All of our students attended classes through July and had only one month of summer vacation this year. Working in Ethiopia comes with frequent challenges to our understanding of the language and culture. While attending a new building dedication ceremony a few months ago, a young student at Adams Thermal Academy bridged the gap of understanding by presenting a poem from her heart. The subject of the poem was her new classroom, which included a new playground, and new private bathrooms for pre-school and kindergarten students

A huge thank you to all that joined us at the Sioux Falls Convention Center on the evening of Monday, September 27th! REJOICE 2021 was a resounding success! The pandemic cancelled last year’s event, but this year's event went a long way towards filling that void. With 233 REJOICING attendees, we were able to celebrate God's provision over the past 24 months and look ahead to even better things to come.
