When Adams Thermal Foundation applied to become a certified NGO (non-governmental organization) in Ethiopia, the approval process was dependent upon the commitment to build a high school in Hosanna. In addition, land was given to the school by the local community leaders for the purpose of putting up the high school building. However, there was no money to begin construction of a high school building. So both our NGO certification and the land grant were in jeopardy. In the fall of 2015, the leadership group at Kingdom Capital stepped forward to provide the seed funding necessary to get the high school started and to enable a large portion of the project to be completed. The NGO certification was granted and the land was retained. In the fall of 2016, Kingdom Capital again stepped forward to provide the necessary funds to grow our enrollment and our child sponsorship program.
