Many of our supporters have a relationship with the organization through child sponsorship. One of the key people working "behind-the-scenes" is Keith Beachler, our Director of Sponsorship. Keith also wears two hats in the same way that other Foundation staff do. As Director of Sponsorship, Keith is responsible for our Sponsor Advocate program, sponsor communications and also assists the Foundation with Human Resource-related issues, logistical tasks and events. In his role with Adams Thermal Systems, our parent organization, Keith oversees Human Resources and Safety.

Supporting overseas missions is nothing new to Keith because he's also a veteran of our armed forces. While serving in the U.S. Army as a Tactical Communications Officer, Keith fulfilled assignments in the USA, Italy, Germany and in Operation Desert Storm. According to Keith, serving our country was great preparation for his professional career. "In my opinion, there's no better leadership training than the U.S. military. The skill-set I rely upon in my responsibilities today tie directly back to my training in the Army," says Keith.

Even though he's had opportunities to stand on some big stages though his military service and professional career, Keith is humbled to be a part of the Adams Thermal Foundation Team. "The Foundation is a shining star for all to see because the Lord works through the donors, sponsors, and our staff to provide for and open doors for children in Ethiopia. And that's a tremendous privilege," says Keith.

If you've ever called our offices about sponsorship, you've probably already met Keith over the phone because he works alongside our Sponsor Advocates as one of the voices of the Foundation. According to Keith, "every call with a sponsor is an important call. They may take 2 minutes, they may take 45 minutes. But I love people and I love being a part of their relationship with our students in Ethiopia."

When he's not in the office, Keith enjoys maintaining the "century home" that he and his wife, Susan, live in. They also operate an Airbnb “the house next door” for travelers visiting the area. They also have five "awesome" children to keep up with in various parts of the globe. Ironically, Keith loves watching sports and cheering for the "underdog" team. Maybe that's part of what makes him a passionate advocate for students in Ethiopia. Of course, Keith and Susan are also sponsors of a high school girl at our Academy in Ottoro.

If you'd like to contact Keith about sponsorship, you can reach him at kbeachler@adamsthermalfoundation.org or at 877-678-1099, extension 120. He'll be happy to serve you!
