Answer: "YES!"
We get this question a lot. So we enjoy answering with an activity that people love to do. Our 6th Annual Golf Scramble for Ethiopia is coming up on June 4th. You can help by coming out and golfing. Oh, and eating also! You can help by golfing AND eating. Here's another question we hear:
Question: "But I'm not a good golfer?"
The answer is - "we're not looking for winners." The children that we serve in Ethiopia are going to be the winners. We just need people to come out and have fun on a Saturday morning. Hidden Valley in Brandon, SD is the location of our event and it's a beautiful, par-3 course. Bring a team of four or come by yourself and we'll pair you up.
This event is graciously and passionately sponsored every year by Stan Graber in memory of his father, Eugene Graber. In addition, this year we're honoring the memory of Will Muller who was a good friend and faithful volunteer at our past events.
We've also been blessed with a $5,000 matching challenge at this year's event. All donations up to $5,000 will be matched, and 100% of the proceeds from the Scramble for Ethiopia goes to the schools in Ethiopia to support their outreach to the "poorest of poor".
