Due to a longer and wetter than expected rainy season, the team in Ethiopia has been unable to take supplies to Ottoro using vehicles – the roads are just too muddy for even four wheel drive vehicles. The best option was to travel on foot or horseback and haul the food supplies on donkeys. The team hitched up the wagons and loaded them with vital food supplies and set out through the mud for Ottoro. It was a long, slow journey and they ran out of daylight before they reached the destination, and so added darkness to the difficult travel conditions.

The team did finally reach Ottoro, and set up for social distancing distribution to the students. The most food insecure families received a 30 day supply of oil, rice and flour to help them through this difficult time.

Please join us in prayer for and support for students in Ethiopia as they weather this crisis with the resources available to them and what we are able to provide.  Learn more here: https://bit.ly/ATFfood
