Celebrating Two Incredible Weeks of Ministry with Jason & Julie Taylor!
In October, we had the privilege of hosting Jason and Julie Taylor as they served with Adams Thermal Foundation and MKA Ministries in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Their two weeks of ministry brought encouragement, learning, and meaningful impact across several areas of our work.
During the first week, Pastor Jason, from Mercy Church in Sioux Falls, taught a class of seminary students through Kairos University and MKA’s seminary program on “Habits that Sustain Ministry.” Twenty students engaged deeply with spiritual disciplines and the importance of making them a priority in daily life. Over the next three months, these students will practice these habits and conclude the course with a written paper reflecting on their growth.
In the second week, Pastor Jason taught the same course to local pastors—equipping them with practical tools to prioritize healthy rhythms in ministry. His wisdom, experience, and ability to connect with students and leaders made a lasting impression.
Julie Taylor also made a significant contribution throughout the two weeks.
In week one, she led a Life Skills seminar for our homeless outreach, teaching on identity in Christ, work ethic, time management, and more. For many who grew up on the streets of Addis Ababa, these tools offer new pathways toward stability and hope.
Throughout week two, Julie trained local church leaders in effective and creative methods for teaching children in Sunday School. She helped participants explore key teaching principles and work through curriculum, giving leaders renewed confidence and fresh ideas.
We celebrate the meaningful ministry Jason and Julie carried out during their time in Ethiopia and the way their efforts strengthened our work and local leaders. Their partnership in conjunction with Mercy Church continues to be a blessing to our mission as we serve the most vulnerable in Ethiopia.
