It happens every year; our US team travels to Ethiopia to lift up and celebrate those who work with our children and families on a daily basis.
Our annual employee recognition event allows us time to reflect on the past year and to look ahead as well. We take time to congratulate our team on their successes and remind them of our love and appreciation for their contributions to our mission. We meet together, sing together, eat together and play together even as we build one another up.
One of the great blessings we receive from this event is hearing the cares and concerns of our team, both on a personal and a professional level. We talk as a group and we talk one-on-one as we carry on with event activities. We always come home with greater perspective and empathy for the people who are on the front lines in this battle against poverty.
We do have an incredible staff and we believe in them 100%! These are the people that teach, cook, feed, mentor, discipline, and pray for our students every day. These are the people that make truly incredible sacrifices for our cause. Please keep them in your prayers. Pray for their work, their health, their families, and their protection.
